Batman Doesn't Have Any Superpowers

It might come as a shock to some but Batman doesn't have any actual superpowers. When it comes down to it, he's really rich, smart, and an exceptional detective with advanced technology. He's referred to as the "world's greatest detective" for a reason. Now, he is a master at martial arts and possesses the peak strength of a human being thanks to a ridiculous training regime.

Batman's First Appearance Was in 1939

Back in May of 1939, Batman made his first comic book appearance in Detective Comics #27. He was created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger. It is considered one of the most important debuts from DC Comics.

There was Once a Bat-Cow

In the comics, there is a character called Bat-Cow! She was rescued by Batman and Robin before they later decided to keep her. She lives in a barn at Wayne Manor. Bat-Cow made her first appearance in "Batman Incorporated Vol 2 #1."

Bat-Cow's only power is listed as Indomitable Will. She has the power to overcome fear and resist mind control as well as control impulses and emotions to make clear choices.

The City Name "Gotham" Came From a Phone Book

That's right. The writers of Batman used a phone book to come up with the city name "Gotham" as the city for Batman. It came from the name Gotham Jewellers which they randomly chose from a phone book. Kinda funny!
